There really are not many boxes that Chalet Evergreen does not tick and so it is rather difficult to determine what features of the chalet to boast about first. Without doubt, Evergreen's location is hard to beat; we don't describe it as ski-in / ski-out because that cliché would do it a disservice… Chalet Evergreen offers doorstep skiing. The front door of the chalet is just five metres from the piste.
The indoor sauna and outdoor hot-tub are also worthy of a mention. It's difficult to imagine anything more therapeutic than soaking weary limbs in a cauldron of hot bubbly water after a tough day on the slopes, with stunning views across the valley and a cold drink in hand. Afterwards, the sauna beckons – and, for the hearty, the traditional pore-closing roll in the snow.
And to cap it all, the accommodation is lovely and homely and cosy, yet spacious. Chalet Evergreen has eight bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and a huge, open-plan living/ dining area that can comfortably seat fifteen guests. The views to the skiing above Méribel and across the Valley to Tougnète draw you in until the sun goes down and the bouncing flames of the traditional open-fire take over and hypnotise you into a serious state of relaxation.
