Chalet Isabella

Tignes, France
Sleeps 17 / 8 bedrooms
50m to ski lift/ Hot-Tub and Sauna
Isabella is a modern ski chalet in Tignes Les Brévières, spacious and stylish accommodation featuring well-appointed bedrooms and excellent facilities including sauna, WiFi, satellite TV and panoramic outdoor hot-tub overlooking the village and lake, perfect for après-ski drinks to soak away the day's skiing efforts. The chalet is located in the 'Hauts des Brévières' area and is a short walk to both the village centre and the ski lifts. Direct access to the slopes is via the new Brévières Chalet Lift right at the end of the road only 100 metres away. As with all our accommodation the chalet is great value and offers skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts a top-quality chalet holiday at an unbeatable price.

Isabella is laid out over four floors with plenty of wooden beams and local stone on display. The very spacious living area has an open fire, tasteful furniture and access to a south-facing balcony overlooking the village and lake. The open-plan dining and kitchen area adjoins the living area and is tastefully decorated with ample room for everybody to eat together. On a split-level down from the dining room there is a wet-area with shower and WC for use with the sauna and the outdoor hot-tub which, again, enjoys views over the village and lake. The ground floor has one twin/double en-suite bedroom and the ski-storage area with heated boot-warmers. The first floor has three twin/double bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms with WC and all finished to a high standard. The top floor has four bedrooms. The two eaves bedrooms share one bathroom with WC and the other two bedrooms share the other shower room with WC and can be used as a family room via an adjoining locking door if required. All bedrooms can be configured as twin/double rooms.

The chalet sleeps up to 17 people. If the whole chalet is booked by one group, the 17th bed is free of charge.
The chalet is run and catered by three experienced staff, one chef and 2 hosts. You will benefit from unbeatable deals on your ski and snowboard hire plus substantial ski-pass reductions.

The Chalet offers our premium chalet menu featuring a hearty breakfast each day with pastries and hot options, sumptuous home-made cake for afternoon tea and a delicious five-course evening meal served with quality French bottled wine on six nights. In addition there are extra touches such as a nightly cheese board, canapés and welcome drinks during the week.

The chalet features hot-tub and sauna sections which are accessed from the central living/dining area. The sauna is built in the Scandinavian style with a 'hot-coal' system that water is poured onto to produce the steam, multi-level wooden benches and a pine interior. The hot-tub is located on an external balcony and is perfect for a relaxing après-ski soak with a glass of wine whilst enjoying the picturesque views over the village and lake. Between the sauna and hot-tub there is a 'wet-area' with a shower for use before and after bathing, a small changing area and a WC.

Access to the lifts can be either by walking 3 to 4 minutes down to the slopes or via the new elevator-style ski lift that comes right from the foot of the pistes to the end of the road, around 100m from the front door. Depending on conditions it is often possible to ski down to the main gondola lift in the mornings from the top of the elevator lift.

There is ample ski storage within the chalet with racks for skis, an area for suitcases and bags and a heated boot dryer/warmer.

There is free parking outside the chalets but this is somewhat limited and can be difficult should there be significant snowfall as the snowploughs need to get through and the road is quite tight. We recommend that guests park outside the chalet to drop off baggage and then take their cars to either of the large free parking areas at the North or South of the village where they will be safely dug out in the event of snowfall and there is no chance of them getting blocked in or, worse, buried under several feet of snow by a passing plough. If guests are arriving by public transport, it is a five minute walk up to the chalet from the bus stop. Most private transfer companies will drop you at the door of the chalets.

With this addition to our range of lodgings we are offering an alternative higher quality style of accommodation but with the same great atmosphere, fun staff and informal environment and, of course, the same great value skiing and snowboarding holiday prices. You will benefit from all the advantages with regard to cheap ski and snowboard hire, reductions in lift pass prices and access to our knowledgeable reps who will be able to organise your skiing and snowboarding holiday needs.

Chalet Isabella is available for rent either exclusively for larger groups or on a room-by-room basis.

Our chalet food is one of the highlights of your holiday. We believe that skiing and snowboarding should be about getting fresh air, exercise, thrills and spills… and then coming back and completely spoiling yourself!

Our chalets offer restaurant quality breakfast, afternoon tea and a five-course evening meal including canapés and a cheese board each evening served with complimentary French bottled white and red wine.

Breakfast has a selection of French pastries, freshly baked baguette, preserves, yoghurt, fruit, choice of cereals, tea, coffee, juices, porridge cooked to order and a different hot option daily (for example, on one morning we offer sausage, scrambled egg & tomato; on another morning we offer bacon, fried egg, hash brown and mushrooms).

Afternoon tea is served from 4pm and consists of delicious freshly baked cakes, tea (PG tips), selection of herbal and fruit teas, freshly brewed coffee, hot chocolate and cordial, all available until dinner. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day and after dinner.

Dinner is served in the chalet in a communal setting – a 5-course meal with canapés and cheeseboard. Plentiful portions are served ensuring you will be well fed and nobody will leave the table feeling hungry.

A packed lunch can be ordered for a small fee each day and will be prepared for you to pick up at breakfast if you are going on a day trip or just want to save money on the mountain.

Children, vegetarians, vegans and special diets are all catered for. Just let us know at the time of booking and the menu can be discussed further with your chalet team. If you have specific requirements (vegan, allergies, celiac) we would ask that you let us know sometime in advance so we can prepare and to bring any special foods with you as many of them can be very hard to source in France.

Chef's night off is normally on a Wednesday or Tuesday when the hotel staff have some well deserved time off. Our staff will be happy to recommend some of the many excellent restaurants in the village.
